Ladd Capital is the principal investment vehicle of Ladd & Co., established to hold the firm's direct equity positions across transactions it originates and executes. Where the advisory practice advises on the transaction, Ladd Capital sits on the other side of the table as a co-investor — committing firm capital into every deal the division takes on. The structure reflects a deliberate philosophy: the firm does not arrange capital it would not commit to itself. Every placement, every syndication, every capital raise that passes through the Merchant Banking Division is a transaction Ladd Capital has evaluated on its own merits as a principal investor. If the firm would not invest, it does not advise. This alignment is not a policy — it is the structure of every mandate the division accepts. Ladd Capital holds positions across a range of transaction types, including growth capital raises, direct equity co-investments, and principal stakes in businesses undergoing ownership transition. Positions are held deal by deal through dedicated special purpose vehicles, with Ladd Capital acting as the general partner and lead investor in each. Co-investors participate alongside the firm on identical economic terms. The vehicle operates across the firm's nine office jurisdictions — New York, Palm Beach, George Town, London, Zürich, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney — deploying capital where the firm's advisory relationships generate proprietary deal access.
