Apply for Vice President, Co-Investment & Syndication
NEW YORK, UNITED STATES · Full-time
Role Overview
The firm is recruiting a Vice President to its Co-Investment & Syndication practice in New York. Vice Presidents lead diligence and structuring on direct co-investment opportunities, manage the syndication process across the firm's principal network, and own investor relations through close and post-close coordination. The role demands sharp investment judgement, fluency across deal structures and asset classes, and the ability to manage multiple syndication processes in parallel.
The firm's co-investment platform is positioned as a deliberate capital partner to leading sponsors and a curated source of direct opportunities for its principal investor base. The investor network — more than 40,000 qualified allocators across 37 jurisdictions — provides syndication leverage that materially exceeds what is available at a typical placement boutique. Vice Presidents are expected to navigate that network with judgement and to develop genuine relationships with the most consequential allocators within it.
The role is suited to senior practitioners with substantive prior private investment or principal-side experience who are ready to lead syndication processes end-to-end. Cross-border execution is the norm rather than the exception; mandates routinely span the firm's nine offices and frequently involve sponsors and allocators across multiple jurisdictions.
What This Role Demands
- Demonstrated investment leadership on private-market transactions
- Substantive prior experience in private equity, credit, or principal investing
- Negotiation credibility with sponsors and senior allocators
- Cross-border fluency across structures and asset classes
- The temperament to operate at principal-to-principal level on the syndication side
Requirements
- 6–10 years' relevant experience including substantive transaction or mandate leadership
- Established credibility with clients, counterparties, and external counsel
- Demonstrated track record of independent execution on complex matters
- Cross-border fluency expected as a baseline
- Substantive supervisory experience with junior team members
- Right to work in the United States
