Apply for Associate, Capital Placement

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES · Full-time

Role Overview

The firm is recruiting an Associate to its Capital Placement practice in New York. Associates own substantive workstreams within live placement engagements — investor outreach across the firm's network, diligence coordination, structuring input, materials production, and direct allocator engagement under senior supervision. The role carries mandate-level accountability; Associates are expected to operate as the technical backbone of every placement they touch.

The practice operates across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and venture mandates. Allocators span centi-millionaire families, single-family offices, sovereign and quasi-sovereign investors, and selected institutional allocators across the firm's proprietary network. The Associate is expected to develop genuine fluency across the asset-class spectrum and to operate independently across multiple processes in parallel.

The role is suited to candidates with prior experience in placement, investment banking, or principal investing who are ready to step out of an analyst-style apprenticeship and into substantive workstream ownership. The platform — proprietary investor network, distributed origination model, multi-jurisdictional execution capability — provides leverage that materially exceeds the equivalent position at a larger institution. The corollary is that the bar for what the firm expects is correspondingly higher.

What This Role Demands

  • Mandate-level ownership of complex workstreams without daily oversight
  • Technical depth across asset classes, structures, and jurisdictional considerations
  • Direct credibility in front of allocators — including senior family office principals, sovereign investors, and institutional decision-makers
  • Calm under contested or accelerated process dynamics
  • Discretion as default; the firm's allocators audit advisory teams on conduct, not just on credentials

Requirements

  • 3–6 years' relevant experience at a leading advisory firm, investment bank, or principal investor
  • Demonstrated workstream ownership on substantive transactions or mandates
  • Strong technical foundation in the relevant practice area
  • Cross-border execution experience strongly preferred
  • Established credibility with clients, counterparties, or external counsel at the level appropriate to seniority
  • Right to work in the United States
